[01]The "Ultimate Human Signer" Rule

Attorneys, practitioners, and legal workers using Solon retain sole, ultimate professional and ethical responsibility under their respective bar or legal councils for all output:

Verification Enforced: Users must review, verify, and validate all legal research, drafts, summaries, timelines, citations, and briefs generated by the AI before signing, filing, or sharing them.
No Liability for AI Errors: Solon is not liable for errors, omissions, or hallucinations in generated text or database tables.
Local Customization: While local statutes and rules (such as Kenyan civil procedure) are contextualized, Solon makes no guarantees of accuracy or alignment with up-to-the-minute court schedules.

[02]Account Registration & Security Boundaries

Access to Solon requires authentication via our hosted service. You agree to:

Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials.
Never utilize unauthorized tools, scripts, or proxies to bypass credit quotas, usage bounds, or API rate limits.
Refrain from reverse engineering the Tauri desktop packaging or stripping security policies.

[03]Billing, Credits, & Refund Policy

During private alpha, Solon does not collect payments. Credits are granted through the administrator approval flow and tracked in the billing ledger:

Credit Consumption: Credits are estimated and reserved before AI provider calls are made, and then finalized upon completion.
Payments: Payment checkout is disabled during private alpha. If paid top-ups are enabled later, provider checkout and refund terms will be shown before payment.
Payment Gateways: Solon does not store financial card data. Future card or mobile-money payments must use hosted provider checkout and backend verification.

[04]Warranty Exclusion & Liability Cap

SOLON IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. VERANTU LABS EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY.

VERANTU LABS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO PAY ANY DAMAGES, COMPENSATION, OR BE HELD LIABLE FOR ANY ISSUES, CLAIMS, OR LOSSES ARISING OUT OF THE SERVICE. AS LONG AS YOU USE THE SERVICE AND COMPLY WITH THESE TERMS, THE ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY, AND ALL SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS, VERANTU LABS DISCLAIMS ALL LIABILITY WHATSOEVER AND SHALL NOT BE OBLIGATED TO PAY OR COMPENSATE FOR ANY CLAIM.
